I’m Speaking on an International Stage - Here’s How I’m Preparing (From the Inside Out)...

Last year, this was just a vision on my board...
This year, it’s happening!
In October, I’ll be flying to Barcelona to speak at She Sells LIVE - a three-day event designed for purpose-led women in business who are ready to take charge of their growth, with empathy and soul leading the way.
It’s a huge honour. An incredible opportunity…
And I’m so grateful to be kicking things off as one of four keynote speakers.
But I’ll be honest...
I’m scared…
Excited, yes - but scared too…
Two hours.
A room full of ambitious, big-hearted women…
And me, standing at the front, holding space and guiding them into the real work - the subconscious shifts that unlock confidence, clarity, and sales success.
Public speaking brings up a lot (and I mean, a lot)
Even though I’m confident in what I do - and I know the work creates massive transformation - speaking live still stirs something in me…
It pokes at the parts of me that wonder:
What if I forget what I’m saying?
What if I’m not as good as the other speakers?
What if they judge me, or switch off?
What if they expect more than I can deliver?
Sound familiar?
You don’t have to be speaking at an international event to feel this kind of fear.
You could be hosting your first webinar, going live on Instagram, leading a client session, or pitching in a meeting…
And still feel the same emotional reaction…
Because it’s not really about the audience size.
It’s about the internal narrative - the stories your subconscious mind is still holding onto.
So, here’s exactly how I’m preparing for this event - and how you can use these steps for your own speaking moments too…
I’m unearthing what’s really there
It’s not enough to say “I’m just nervous.”
I want to know what’s underneath the fear.
So I’m asking myself:
Where does this fear come from?
What am I afraid will happen, really?
What past memories or experiences are shaping how I feel now?
Because public speaking often triggers past wounds:
Being laughed at for getting something wrong
Feeling dismissed or ignored
Being told we’re “too much” or “not enough”
Those things leave marks…

And unless we go back and reframe them, they’ll keep showing up...
Even if the stage is bigger, the audience is warmer, and the message is important.
I’m rewriting the story in my subconscious
This is where the real work comes in…
Once I’ve pinpointed the fear or belief, I’m using self-hypnosis to:
Reframe the memory or root experience
Reinforce empowering new beliefs (I am safe to be seen. I know what I’m doing. My voice matters.)
Reconnect with the version of me that’s calm, grounded, and ready...
Because your subconscious wants to keep you safe - but it doesn’t always know what “safe” looks like…
So it runs old patterns…until you show it a new way.
I’m anchoring into positive expectation
Most people prepare for speaking by imagining what could go wrong…I’m doing the opposite.
This is something I call “future visualisation with feeling”:
I picture the room…
I see faces light up…
I hear laughter, connection, emotion…
I feel calm, clear and empowered…
Because when we expect things to go well, we create the inner chemistry to support it.
It’s a powerful energetic shift - from fear to flow.
I’m using grounding tools daily
Of course, it’s not all mindset work.
I’m also supporting my nervous system so I don’t hit burnout before I’ve even taken the stage!
Here’s what I’m incorporating into my prep:
Gentle movement (walks, stretch)...
Morning journaling to stay centred…
Breathwork to regulate anxiety…
Audio hypnosis to reinforce the new beliefs…
Rest and integration time - especially as a Projector in Human Design…
Because confidence doesn’t come from “pushing through.”
It comes from creating safety within yourself first.
What this means for YOU…
Whether you’re speaking on a stage, sending a pitch, or just being visible online - your subconscious plays a huge role in how you show up.
So if you’ve ever found yourself:
Overthinking your words
Avoiding visibility or putting yourself forward
Worrying what others think…
You’re not broken. You’re not weak….
You just need to go deeper - into the beliefs, patterns and protection mechanisms that were wired long before you ever stepped into your business…
And I promise:
When you shift what’s happening internally, the external confidence follows.
Barcelona, I’m coming for you!…
And I’m bringing all of this wisdom with me…
To help every woman in that room reconnect with her voice, her worth, and her next level.
